Navsarjan announces results of unprecedented Study on Untouchability

Navsarjan Trust, together with RFK Center for Justice & Human Rights, have published a study that describes the prevalence of untouchability practices in Gujarat, based on research in 1589 villages. Click for the report itself as well as media reports.

The full study, entitled "Understanding Untouchability: A Comprehensive Study of Practices and Conditions in 1589 Villages" is available in PDF format here.

The study was officially released at an event in Ahmedabad on 27 January 2010, which was attended by the media and prominent figures.
